Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking an Engineer Systems 2 to support GCCS and C4I training at Norfolk Naval Station. You will perform system analyses, integration, verification, and act as GCCS expert during FST‑O events for fleet staffs.

Requires 2 years experience with a related degree, or Master’s with related qualifications; U.S. Citizenship and a Secret clearance are mandatory; on‑site role with flexible hours and 0–10% travel.

Qualifications

2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s in a related field; or 0 years with a Master’s; or High School Diploma and 6 years of relevant experience.
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot at the system level and interact with Military, Government, and Contractor Leadership.
Flexibility to work non-standard hours and more than 40-hour weeks to meet business, customer, and contractual requirements.
Strong background in Common Tactical Picture Management (CTPM) and GCCS-M/J.
Ability to obtain a COMPTIA Security+ certification within the first 90 days of employment.
Ability to complete a Cyber Security Workforce approved Operating System course within the first 90 days of employment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
U.S. Citizen with an Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Analyze all levels of total system product, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
Ensure logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Operate and maintain all NSWC C4I systems as required.
Interface with outside agencies to provide C4I system connectivity between major commands and assist with testing and integration of new C4I technologies.
Provide knowledge and expertise in operating Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J) system.
Provide onsite and remote troubleshooting support for C4I systems across NCTE Enterprise.
Prepare reports and briefs as required.
