Job summary

Intertek Nederland TX seeks a GC Technical Lab Supervisor to manage the GC laboratory, including instrument maintenance, installation of new equipment, method development, and staff training to ensure quality and efficiency.

The role requires leadership, strong GC experience, and the ability to train technicians while upholding safety and ethical standards in a petroleum testing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Competence in Gas Chromatography: maintenance, troubleshooting, method development, training.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good leadership and ability to manage personnel for quality, safety and financial goals.
• Understanding data significance from test methods.
• Petroleum/Petrochemical testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the GC department and oversee all lab operations.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and develop analytical methods for GC analyses.
• Train and develop laboratory staff; ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Investigate discrepancies with clients and inform management of corrective actions.
• Provide performance feedback for technicians and contribute to hiring/trainings.
• Foster ethical conduct and alignment with company policies.
