Job summary

ALS is seeking a GC‑ECD / GC‑FID Analyst to perform high‑throughput environmental analyses using EPA methods 8081/8082/8015. You will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot GC‑ECD and GC‑FID instrumentation, ensuring quality data and regulatory compliance in a fast‑paced lab.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of hands‑on GC experience, a chemistry degree, and strong problem‑solving and documentation skills to support remediation and environmental monitoring programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 2–4 years of hands‑on GC‑ECD/GC‑FID experience in an environmental lab.
• Experience performing EPA GC‑ECD/Gc‑FID methods in a regulated lab.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot GC‑ECD/GC‑FID systems in a regulated production environment.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance and calibration verification.
• Analyze EPA 8081, 8082, 8015 methods and related GC methods.
• Review data for accuracy, respond to QA/QC issues, document results.
