Job summary

ICF is seeking an Environmental Laboratory Chemist in Corvallis, Oregon to support the USEPA ESAT contract. The role focuses on sample prep and analysis of organic compounds using GC‑FID, GC‑ECD, GC‑MS, and EPA‑approved methods, with QA support and cross‑training in inorganic methods.

The candidate will work independently and as part of a team, within EPA programs such as Superfund and drinking water. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a relevant science, 4+ years of lab experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science field.
• 4+ years of lab experience with EPA-approved methods and instrumentation.
• Ability to pass an EPA background check and pass a federal suitability review.
• Experience or familiarity with EPA programs (e.g., Superfund, Drinking Water).

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples and operate GC‑ECD, GC‑FID, and GCMS to analyze organics.
• Support QA/QC and follow EPA methods for various media (air, water, soil).
• Collaborate within a team for analytical and technical support across EPA programs.
