Job summary

ALS is seeking a GC-MS / GC-MS/MS Analyst to join our production laboratory team. You will perform analytical testing, operate GC-MS and GC-MS/MS instruments, and support QA/QC activities in a regulated setting.

You will develop technical expertise in environmental analysis while maintaining productivity in a deadline-driven environment and delivering accurate, defensible results. Recent graduates or those with 1–3 years of lab experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline.
• 1–3 years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience with analytical instrumentation or environmental laboratory testing is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate GC-MS and GC-MS/MS systems following established methods and procedures.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance and calibration checks.
• Assist with troubleshooting with support from senior analysts and supervisors.
• Maintain instrument logs, quality control samples, and analytical documentation.
• Process and review analytical data for completeness and compliance with quality requirements.
• Participate in training programs and method updates as needed.
• Support laboratory audits and regulatory compliance activities.
