Job summary

Fogo de Chão in Illinois is seeking a Gaucho Chef to prepare and grill traditional churrasco meats. You will season, portion, garnish, and present dishes in a Gaucho style while engaging with guests about churrasco culture.

The role requires standing for long periods, ability to handle up to 50 lb, and weekend/holiday availability. Compensation includes a base rate with tips and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be able to transport objects up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook special cuts of beef and other meats according to traditional Brazilian churrasco recipes.
• Season and grill food according to prescribed traditional method and to guests' specific requests.
• Portion, garnish and present to patron in style of Brazilian gaucho.
• Answer guests' questions concerning churrasco-style food and represent Brazilian gaucho culture and demeanor.
• Maintain cleanliness of the grill area.
• Complete any beginning or closing shift duties.
