Job summary

Fogo de Chão is seeking a Gaucho Chef to prepare and grill traditional Brazilian churrasco meats, season according to authentic methods, and present dishes in the gaucho style. You will engage guests, answer questions about the cuisine, and uphold grill area cleanliness while handling closing duties.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and availability on weekends and holidays. Full-time, on-site employment with comprehensive benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to transport objects up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook special cuts of beef and other meats according to traditional Brazilian churrasco recipes.
• Season and grill food according to prescribed traditional method and guests' requests.
• Portion, garnish and present to patron in the gaucho style.
• Answer guests' questions concerning churrasco and Brazilian gaucho culture.
• Maintain cleanliness of the grill area.
• Complete any beginning or closing shift duties.
