Job summary

FedEx Logistics in Gardena, CA, is seeking a logistics professional to manage air/ocean/ground freight operations, ensure customer requirements are met, and coordinate with service centers and vendors. You will prepare and distribute required documents for consolidation/deconsolidation, monitor shipments, negotiate spot rates, and drive process improvements while adhering to US export regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent.
• Minimum of one related experience.
• Knowledge of U.S. Export Regulations, ports and world geography.
• Experience with Official Airline Guide (OAG) and The Air Cargo Tariff (TACT) Act preferred.
• Working knowledge of airfreight forwarding required.
• Strong analytical/math skills required.
• PC software application skills (Excel, Word, Notes).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with all operational procedures and regulations.
• Schedules and monitors handling of incoming and outgoing consolidations and shipments.
• Disposes consolidations as booked and ensures timeliness.
• Liaises with airlines, feeder stations, and vendors to ensure service quality.
• Negotiates spot rates with airline partners.
• Supports cross-department coordination to deliver high level of service.
