Job summary

Lake of the Pines Association in Auburn, CA is hiring for a Full Time Public Safety Gate Officer. Typical shifts are 10 hours, Thu-Sun, with evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays included.

A rounded benefits package accompanies the hourly wage of $19.88–$22.61, with opportunities to patrol and enforce regulations within a 2,000-home gated community. Responsibilities include access control, incident logging, dispatch coordination, and professional interaction with residents and guests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• PSO (Proprietary Private Security Officer) license required.
• Valid California Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification required.
• Customer service experience and ability to type, answer phones, and multi-task in an office environment.

Responsibilities

• Enforce LOP rules and safety regulations.
• Diffuse conflicts through conversation and professionalism.
• Control access to the gated community.
• Log contractors, renters, complaints, and incidents with accuracy.
• Dispatch Patrol Officers to incidents and document events chronologically.
• Monitor traffic and scanner activity; maintain accurate records.
• Respond to incidents with investigative reporting and data collection.
• Provide helpful customer service during high call volumes.
