Job summary

Professional Transportation, Inc. (PTI) is seeking a Gate Administrator in Saint Paul, MN to supervise and coordinate gate activity at the customer facility.

The role involves inspecting equipment, verifying credentials, and ensuring safe, efficient entry and exit for vehicles, employees, and customers, leveraging handheld scanners and desktop applications. Responsibilities include maintaining facility organization, inspecting IDs, guiding drivers, and performing administrative duties while

Qualifications

• Must have reliable communication, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must see and hear moving equipment and maintain personal safety.
• Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy in gate operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain awareness and organization within the intermodal facility.
• Visual inspection of IDs for all entrants and announce visitors.
• Use handheld devices and scan driver missions at in-gate and out-gate.
• Inspect in-gating equipment for damages and document findings.
• Direct third-party drivers and customers to designated locations.
• Understand outbound destinations and yard locations, adjust restrictions as needed.
• Answer phones, assist employees/customers, and ensure policy compliance.
• Gate locking and crash protection as warranted.
• General housekeeping as needed.
