Job summary

Professional Business Providers Inc. in St. Louis is seeking a Mechanical Technician to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electromechanical systems for gate and terminal operations at Lambert International Airport.

The role covers PBBs, PCA units, 400 Hz ground power, HVAC, pumps, and related facility systems. It requires safety compliance, ability to read schematics, and experience in industrial environments. Union position with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance within industrial/airport/large facility environments.
• Experience in safe operation and troubleshooting of electrical systems up to 480 VAC.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems, pumps, motors, compressors, and rotating equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic control systems, motor starters, and VFDs.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electromechanical systems supporting airport operations.
• Maintain and repair PBBs, gate equipment, PCA units, HVAC systems, 400 Hz ground power systems, pumps, motors, and related equipment.
• Safely operate and troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480 VAC including motor controls, VFDs, and control circuits.
• Diagnose issues using schematics, manuals, and test equipment; perform preventive maintenance per OEM specs.
• Perform brazing, soldering, pipefitting, welding, and basic fabrication as needed.
• Document work performed and corrective actions using a CMMS; communicate with shifts and stakeholders.
