Job summary

Parsec, LLC, a subsidiary of Universal Logistics Holdings, is hiring a Gate Inspector (Clerk) in Wylie, TX. This role coordinates truck and container movements, inspects trailers and containers, and maintains accurate inventory at the Rail Yard terminal.

The position requires a valid driver's license, strong data-entry skills, and the ability to work 6PM–6AM on a 4-on/3-off, rotating schedule. Benefits include medical, 401(k), and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's license required and clean driving record.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with computer systems and shipping documents.
• Basic knowledge of transportation and logistics operations.
• Familiarity with safety and security regulations.

Responsibilities

• Gate operations: greet and direct trucks, verify documentation, and enforce terminal rules.
• Record and update truck/container information in the terminal system.
• Issue gate passes and permits, coordinate with security.
• Maintain records of movements, permits, and documents.
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and terminal staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Support safety and security training and stay compliant with regulations.
• Operate company pickup truck as needed within the yard.
