Job summary

ConGlobal is hiring immediately for a Gate Inspector to be the first line of defense in maintaining safety and efficiency at our intermodal facility. You’ll inspect inbound and outbound units using a computer system and handheld devices, ensuring only authorized equipment and personnel enter or exit.

Starting pay is $19.24 - $22.77/hour, with full-time status and day shifts. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, paid training, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and ability to use handheld devices.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Clear communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Open availability for all shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Must pass pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections on inbound and outbound intermodal units.
• Log inspection data using handheld devices or computer systems.
• Control facility access for vehicles and personnel, ensuring security.
• Coordinate safe and efficient movement with drivers and terminal staff.
• Support daily yard operations with orderly flow and equipment tracking.
• Identify and report damages, hazards or safety concerns.
