Join Our Team as a Gate Attendant - Danbury

O&G Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based in Torrington, CT, is seeking a Gate Attendant to join our team at the Danbury Mason Store. We are a highly respected leader in our field and ranked among the top construction firms in the Northeast.

Responsibilities

• Check in new materials, transfers, and returns if yard personnel are unavailable.
• Collect, file, and deliver all blue tickets to management daily.
• Inspect departing customers, personnel, and delivery vehicles to prevent inventory discrepancies and theft.
• Perform cycle counts as instructed by management.
• Record data related to property damage, unusual occurrences, and machinery malfunctions.
• React productively to change and complete other tasks as assigned.
• Perform additional duties as required by responsibility or necessity.

Qualifications

• Ability to resolve customer complaints and problems effectively.
• Knowledge of yard processes, materials, procedures, machinery, and technology.
• Ability to move or transfer merchandise weighing over 25 pounds throughout the store and yard.
• Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
• Excellent customer service skills.
