Job summary

Tyson Foods in Rogers, AR is seeking a full-time Gate Attendant to operate the facility's entrance gates securely and serve as the primary point of contact for truck drivers, vendors, customers and team members; the role requires vigilant adherence to policy and precise record-keeping.

You will monitor traffic, inspect bags, manage badges, perform trailer checks, document data in Excel and Outlook, communicate with plant teams, and support inbound shipments while remaining flexible to shift

Qualifications

• 6 months of continuous work history in the last 12 months.

• 180-day waiting period for prior Tyson employees; max two Tyson employments considered for hire.

Responsibilities

• Traffic Control & Security: Monitor and document all truck and trailer traffic entering and exiting the facility; ensure all team members present a valid ID/badge upon entry; inspect backpacks for policy compliance; enforce footwear requirements; operate a golf cart for trailer checks; monitor items brought in/out of the facility.
• Communication & Collaboration: Serve as main contact for inbound/outbound calls; maintain constant communication with plant management, truck drivers, vendors, and team members; collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Wastewater, Shipping, and Receiving; use radios, Teams, email and phone.
• Documentation & Administration: Perform constant data entry and maintain records of trucks/trailers using Excel; conduct daily trailer checks recording temperatures and fuel; document inbound trailers with a tablet; report onsite damages; process outbound paperwork; report discrepancies; file documents.
• Training & Flexibility: Assist in training new gate attendants; be flexible with shift changes and other duties as assigned.
