Job summary

Tyson Foods in the United States is seeking a part-time Security Guard to protect the facility, monitor access, and perform basic investigations. You will check IDs, inspect carry-ins, and log vehicle movements, while maintaining a safe, secure environment.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a background check. Relocation assistance is not offered, and shifts will be discussed in interview.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent preferred.
• Investigative skills helpful but not mandatory.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication; able to communicate under stressful situations.
• Must be able to work in both hot and cold temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Check identification of all visitors, vendors, contractors, and team members; allow only authorized personnel into the facility.
• Check all carry-in items (bags, briefcases, lunchboxes, etc.).
• Write investigative reports; conduct preliminary investigations of accidents, thefts, workplace violence and other incidents.
• Roam or walk through plant areas to monitor security of the facility.
• Log truck traffic during ingress/egress and inspect all vehicles entering the plant.
