Harris Health is seeking a Supplemental Gastroenterology Technician II to join the GI Lab team at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital. The role provides essential support to nursing and medical staff, including room preparation, supplies, equipment, and specimen handling.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. Part-time schedule with on-site duties at LBJ Hospital.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience in gastroenterology or completion of another endoscopy-related certificate program.
• Endoscopy Technician Program, SGNA Program, or SGNA Advanced Associates Program, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms, supplies and equipment.
• Assist with specimen handling.
• Clean and disinfect scopes and other equipment according to standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment appropriately.
• Maintain an efficient, safe procedural environment.
