Job summary

Harris Health is seeking a Supplemental Gastroenterology Technician II to support the GI Lab team at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital in Houston, TX. Responsibilities include preparing rooms, assisting with specimens, and maintaining scope equipment to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

The ideal candidate will have related gastroenterology experience or certification, strong communication, and attention to detail, with a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year gastroenterology experience or completion of related certificate.
• Endoscopy-related program or SGNA certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms, supplies, and equipment.
• Assist with specimen handling.
• Disinfect and clean scopes and equipment per standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment and maintain a safe procedural environment.
