Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of payor contract terms and processes; strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software; ability to use scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates surgical, cardiovascular or obstetrical procedure scheduling in a computerized system.
• Enter patient charges, orders, and other data; compile and report statistics to management.
• Serve as liaison among department staff, physicians and families; greet and direct patients.
