Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an approved medical school.
  • Current full, unrestricted medical license in the US.
  • Residency in an AMA/ACGME or AOA approved core specialty.
  • Board certification in GI.
  • Eligibility for Joint Faculty appointment at VTCSOM and VCOM.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative leadership and clinical oversight for the GI section.
  • Lead education and research activities within the section.
  • Complete VA Supervisor Training within first 3 months of employment.
  • Serve as liaison to ACOS for Education and Program Director for UME/GME.
  • Oversee clinic scheduling, staffing, and performance measures.
