Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs - Fayetteville VA Medical Center in North Carolina is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join the Medicine Service.

The physician will provide expert GI consultation and treatment in inpatient and outpatient settings, perform GI procedures, coordinate care with other services, and ensure compliance with Joint Commission and IG standards. The ideal candidate will have an MD or DO, full and unrestricted license in the United States, completed GI fellowship, and

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an approved school and full, unrestricted license to practice medicine.
• Completion of a GI fellowship or equivalent training with board eligibility or board certification.
• Proven experience in diagnosing, treating, and managing GI conditions across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert GI consultation and treatment in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform GI procedures and coordinate care with medical, surgical, and critical care teams.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and other accrediting and internal standards.
• Educate patients and families and maintain timely clinical documentation.
