The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, experience with EHR and scheduling software, and a high school diploma with healthcare scheduling experience.

Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm, Fridays 8:00am-3:00pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Experience in medical scheduling or healthcare administrative support.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and scheduling software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule medical procedures with patients, physicians, and staff.
• Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and pre-authorization requirements.
• Maintain scheduling records in EHR and scheduling software.
• Manage appointment changes and minimize disruptions to clinical operations.
• Provide reminders and instructions to patients regarding scheduled procedures.
• Collaborate with nursing, billing, and administration to resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Assist in reporting scheduling metrics for process improvement.
