Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Gastroenterology Physician for locum tenens coverage in California. The physician will provide inpatient and outpatient GI care with a 24-hour call requirement, performing endoscopy, colonoscopy, dilations, and other GI procedures.

Board-certified candidates with a California license and Cerner EMR experience are preferred. AMN Healthcare offers comprehensive support for travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Gastroenterology required.
• California medical license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures.
• Dilation, sphincterotomy, stent placement, biopsies and related GI interventions.
• Inpatient and outpatient Gastroenterology care with 24-hour call coverage.

• Schedule:24hour call 8 hours gratis


• Practice Setting: inpatient and outpatient


• Type of cases and required procedures:Dilation, Sphincterotomy, Stent placement, endoscopy, colonoscopy, Esophageal dilatation, Control a bleed, Banding,Biopsies, Foreign body removal, Duodenal cases, Polypectomies, Sclerotherapy, Bravo studies,


• Credentialing timeframe: 90 days or longer


• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner


• Certifications required: board certification


• Licensure required: California License
