Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Gastroenterology Physician for locum tenens support in Tyler, Texas. Schedule involves call-only coverage in an inpatient setting, with credentialing anticipated in 30–60 days.

Candidate must be board certified in Gastroenterology and proficient in ERCP, EUS, colonoscopy, PEG, and related procedures. Texas license and ABLS/ACLS/ATLS/BLS certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Must be Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
• Experience with advanced GI procedures (ERCP, EUS, colonoscopy, PEG).
• Inpatient practice setting and hospital-based care.

Responsibilities

• Provide locum tenens Gastroenterology coverage.
• Perform advanced GI procedures as required.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and admit patients as needed.

Details and requirements for this opportunity

• Schedule: call only
• Practice Setting: Inpatient
• Types of Cases: Must be comfortable with advanced GI procedures including ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography), EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound), upper and lower GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy), liver biopsy, and related procedures.
• Credentialing Timeframe: 30-60 days
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic
• Active Texas license required
• Certificates: Must be Board Certified, must have Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLAS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
