Job summary

Ochsner Health in Louisiana is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) to support outpatient clinics under supervision of the Medical Director. You will deliver primary and urgent medical care, teach residents and medical students, and participate in discharge planning.

The role requires APRN license in the state, PA licensure or NCCPA, BLS/ACLS, and willingness to travel between Ochsner facilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant medicine or Health Sciences, or PA training program.
• Current APRN license in the state of practice is required.
• PA license NCCPA certification required.
• BCLS/ACLS certification required.
• Eligible for Prescriptive Authority in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provides primary and urgent medical care under supervision of the Medical Director.
• Assists with discharge planning and patient education.
• Teaches residents and medical students.
• Maintains compliance with policies and protocols.
