Job summary

Gastro Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to greet and room patients, update medical records, and manage triage under provider direction. You will support patient education and care, process refills, and uphold safety protocols as part of a collaborative team.

The role offers a great work/life balance with no weekends or evenings, Monday through Friday, and opportunities for advancement within a rapidly growing gastroenterology group across the United States.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience as Medical Assistant preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, ensuring appropriate patient flow.
• Update patient's medical chart with accurate and timely documentation.
• Manage phone triage and take appropriate action under the direction of the provider.
• Administer treatments and procedures per physician orders, with appropriate skills.
• Provide patient education and personal patient care to support comfort and wellbeing.
• Process prescription refills under clinic protocol.
• Demonstrate positive interpersonal relationships with staff and providers.
• Support cross-functional duties to ensure seamless patient care.
• Follow OSHA and state health department safety procedures.
