Job summary

Gastro Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team in Kirkland, WA. You will greet and room patients, document care, manage triage calls, and support clinicians with procedures and patient education in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years' experience as Medical Assistant preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) preferred, not required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, ensuring appropriate patient flow.
• Update patient's medical chart with accurate and timely documentation.
• Manage phone triage and take appropriate action under the direction of the provider.
• Demonstrate ability and appropriate technical skills when administering treatments and procedures in accordance with physician's orders.
• Provide patient education and personal patient care to address physiological and psychological needs.
• Process refills for prescriptions following clinic protocol under direction from providers.
• Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with clinic staff and providers.
• Take direction and initiate actions to ensure seamless cross-functional patient care.
• Follow OSHA and state health department safety procedures.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) preferred
