Gastro Health is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our team in Boynton Beach, FL. This position supports patient flow, charting, triage, and treatment under physician supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant (AAMA certification preferred).
• Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, ensuring appropriate patient flow.
• Update patient's medical chart with accurate and timely documentation.
• Manage phone triage and take appropriate action under the direction of the provider.
• Demonstrate ability and appropriate technical skills when administering treatments and procedures in accordance with physician's orders.
• Provide patient education as well as personal patient care to provide comfort and well-being.
• Under direction from providers, process refills for prescriptions following clinic protocol.
• Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with clinic staff and providers.
• Take direction and initiate actions for seamless cross-functional patient care.
• Follow OSHA and state health department safety procedures.
