GI Alliance is seeking a Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative tasks in our gastroenterology practice. You will room patients, take vitals, collect medical histories, accompany patients to exam rooms, and assist physicians as needed.

The role includes charting, phone triage, processing referrals, scheduling appointments, patient check-in/out, and managing demographics with a focus on accuracy. A compassionate, professional environment is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or MA diploma from an accredited program, or college course in medical assisting.
• Minimum one year of recent experience in a medical facility as a medical assistant; gastroenterology experience preferred.
• Knowledge of EMR systems and patient education principles.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and take vitals; collect medical histories and assist physicians during exams.
• Charting, phone triage, and relaying instructions to patients and families.
• Support administrative tasks: scheduling, check-in/out, demographics verification, and paper/chart management.
• Assist with patient transfers and basic clerical duties, including handling records and referrals.
