Job summary

Corewell Health's gastroenterology clinic in Grand Rapids is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our clinical support team. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other staff to ensure high-quality patient care and smooth clinic operations.

The role supports a busy outpatient gastroenterology service, with a focus on patient care, documentation, and coordination of care. Training and benefits are provided, with a 40-hour work week and day shift in Grand Rapids.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting
• Preferred AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Requirement within 90 Days: One of the following: CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA

Education
