GI Associates, LLC is seeking a Patient Service Representative to support our gastroenterology practice in Racine, WI. You will assist with patient check-in/out, scheduling, and EMR documentation, while delivering compassionate care in a collaborative team environment.

The role emphasizes patient education, accurate data entry, and coordination with clinical staff across multiple locations, with a strong focus on confidentiality and quality patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CMA certification preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, family members, physicians, co-workers, and outside customers.
• BLS/CPR certification - training available once hired.
• Previous Healthcare experience preferred.
• Previous gastroenterology experience preferred, but not required.

Responsabilités

• Prepares EMR for office hours and procedures as needed.
• Rooms patients and obtains vital signs, chief complaints, updates medication list, and obtains/ processes patient photo when needed.
• Schedules necessary labs, Endoscopy procedures, x-rays, or other appointments per location and insurance.
• Conducts patient education (handouts, etc.).
• Travels to off-site locations as needed.
• Uses PMS, EMR, EPIC appropriately and efficiently.
• Maintains confidentiality and organizes workstation/nurses' station.
• Collaborates with physician practice team to optimize patient care.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely in EMR.
• Notifies pre-certification of scheduled procedures.
• Answers and follows up on patient calls promptly.
• Maintains medication closets stock.
