GI Alliance seeks an experienced Medical Assistant to support physicians with patient care and a full range of administrative tasks. The role covers clinical and clerical duties, from preparing exam rooms to charting and patient education.

Responsibilities include taking history, vital signs, screenings, specimen collection, medication administration, phone triage, and coordinating appointments while maintaining EMR accuracy.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED or MA diploma from an accredited program.
• Minimum one year of recent medical office experience as a medical assistant.
• Experience in a Gastroenterology practice is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Check schedules and organize patient flow; accompany patients to exam/procedure rooms.
• Collect specimens and prepare for exams; take patient history and vital signs.
• Perform screenings per provider guidelines; chart and document in EMR.
• Phone triage, provide patient education, and relay instructions to patients/families.
• Medication administration and verification of physician orders; coordinate appointments.
• Ensure proper patient check-in/check-out and maintain chart accuracy.
