Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED and completion of a Medical Assistant Training program.
• Two years of relevant experience.
• Current CMA certification through an accredited organization.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association.

Aufgaben

• Performs routine patient care such as vital signs, venipuncture, specimens, EKGs/ECGs, and POCTs.
• Collects patient history and enters information into the electronic medical record.
• Notes primary complaint/reason for visit.
• Sets up instruments and equipment for physicians.
• Assist with procedures as needed.
• Administer medications under physician direction.
• Instructs patients on general care and medical procedures.
• Maintains clean and orderly patient and service rooms.
• Schedules tests, procedures, and appointments.
• Conducts patient outreach calls and post-visit follow-ups.
• Performs clerical tasks such as filing/scanning medical records and obtaining lab/x-ray reports.
