Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant (AAMA/AMT/ARMA/NCCT/NHA/NAHP/AMCA/AAH/ AAMP/ NPS).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Rooms and triages patients and records vital signs.
  • Performs EKGs/ECGs and supports cardiac testing.
  • Obtain medical histories and identify the primary visit reason.
  • Update medications, allergies, and clinical data in EPIC EMR.
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist with procedures as needed.
  • Provide instructions for ambulatory cardiac monitoring devices.
  • Administer medications per physician orders and protocols.
  • Conduct POCT and routine clinical duties.
  • Guide patients on medications, testing, and follow-up care.
  • Make outreach calls and follow-up communications as directed.
