The Department of Dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant II to support clinicians in an ambulatory dermatology practice in Houston. This onsite role involves patient care, specimen collection, and administrative duties to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Responsibilities include vital signs, blood draws, EPIC data entry, pre/post care instructions, scheduling, and assisting with procedures under physician supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus MA training.
• Two years of relevant experience.
• Current MA certification from a recognized professional organization.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsabilités

• Performs routine patient care including vital signs and specimen collection.
• Documents patient histories and reconciles medications in EPIC.
• Assists with procedures and administers medications under supervision.
• Prepares instruments and maintains sterile fields.
• Schedules tests and follow-ups; handles clerical tasks.
• Responds to patient inquiries via MyChart, phone, or email.
