The role is based at Fannin Tower in the Texas Medical Center with Monday–Friday shifts. Strong communication, clinical skills, and the ability to multitask in a busy clinic are essential.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED and completion of a Medical Assistant Training program
• Two years of relevant experience
• Current certification as a Medical Assistant through an accredited organization (AAMA, AMT, ARMA, NCCT, NHA, NAHP, AMCA, AAH, AAMP, or NPS)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association

Responsabilidades

• Greets patients and escorts them to exam rooms
• Performs routine patient care such as taking vital signs and drawing blood
• Assists with tests such as EKGs
• Collects patient histories and medication reconciliation
• Records patient information in EPIC and charts
• Sets up instruments and equipment according to protocol
• Schedules tests and appointments and maintains charts
• Educates patients about conditions and self-care
