Job summary

Borland Groover, a leading gastroenterology practice, seeks a Medical Assistant (MA) - Float to support patient care across multiple offices. You will coordinate clinical tasks, assist providers during exams, and manage patient education under physician direction.

The role requires flexibility, strong organization, and excellent customer service to maintain efficient patient flow in a dynamic setting. Prior MA experience is preferred; travel between offices may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active CMA preferred but not required.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• MA program or associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and record vitals, history, medications, and allergies.
• Drive patient experience and service quality.
• Pre-check charts to ensure complete records for review.
• Assist provider with examinations as needed.
• Administer vaccines under physician orders and document.
• Handle calls, messages, and clinic triage accurately.
• Review medication and diet instructions with patients.
• Process refills and provider-directed authorizations in EHR.
