Job summary

GI Alliance in Texas seeks a Medical Assistant float to support patient care across regional offices. You will assist physicians with examinations, manage patient flow, and handle clerical duties including charting and records in an ambulatory setting.

Requirements include a HS diploma or MA credential and at least 1 year of MA experience, preferably in gastroenterology, with strong communication and clerical skills. Travel between offices is required.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or MA diploma or college course in medical assisting.
• Experience: minimum one year in a medical facility as an MA; externship in a medical office; Gastroenterology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills patient care responsibilities including assisting physicians, charting, and scheduling as needed.
• Completes clerical tasks such as records, lab reports, and insurance verification.
• Fulfills organizational duties including patient rights and emergency response.
• Other duties as assigned.
