Job summary

Coho Integrated Solutions seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support the Gastroenterology Clinic at the 96th Medical Group, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. You will provide outpatient nursing care, assist physicians with procedures, and help ensure high-quality patient care per clinical standards.

The role requires LPN licensure, NCLEX-PN completion, BLS, and at least 1 year of nursing experience, with HIPAA compliance and strong communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State Board of Nursing-approved LPN/LVN program or equivalent military training qualifying the individual to sit for the state licensure exam.
• Successful completion of the NCLEX-PN.
• Current, full, and unrestricted LPN license in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
• Documentation of IV therapy training through an approved educational pathway.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as required by the contract.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients based on individual conditions and established care plans.
• Assess, recognize, document, and report relevant patient information and changes in condition.
• Administer prescribed medications and perform treatments in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Assist with gastrointestinal procedures and specialized clinical services, including endoscopy, manometry, conscious sedation, and patient preparation and recovery.
• Perform or assist with bladder catheterization, pulse oximetry, oxygen administration, EKGs, and other clinic-specific procedures.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures and promptly report changes or concerns.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment, procedures, medications, and care requirements.
