Job summary

Coho Integrated Solutions is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Gastroenterology to provide professional nursing services in support of the 96th Medical Group at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. The RN will deliver comprehensive clinical care in the Gastroenterology Clinic and assist with specialized procedures.

The role requires coordination with physicians and health professionals, adherence to medical facility standards, and strong patient education and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university; ADN with 3+ years nursing experience may be considered.
• Current, full, valid, and unrestricted RN license for the state where services are performed.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification in accordance with contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in the Gastroenterology Clinic.
• Perform patient assessments, histories, and health evaluations.
• Administer medications and wound care.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Support GI procedures including endoscopy and related pre/post care.
• Operate and monitor clinical equipment (IV pumps, EKG, oxygen, endoscopy).
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond to emergencies.
• Educate patients and provide follow-up guidance.
• Supervise care by other healthcare staff within scope.
• Document medical records accurately per MTF standards and Joint Commission.
• Participate in quality assurance and infection control activities.
