Job summary

VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System is seeking a Gastroenterology-Hepatology physician to provide patient care in outpatient clinics, specialty procedural clinics, and on the inpatient service. The physician will also participate in teaching within the VA and affiliated university settings.

The position emphasizes service in an academic environment with opportunities for clinical program development, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and involvement in quality improvement

Qualifications

• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Board Certification or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology preferred.
• Prior VHA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care in outpatient clinics, specialty procedural clinics, and inpatient services as assigned.
• Participate in teaching and administrative activities within the Medical Service.
• Provide expert consultation and treatment across the spectrum of gastroenterology-hepatology.
• Coordinate medical care with Primary Care and other services in a multidisciplinary system.
• Attend outpatient clinics and inpatient rounds as assigned, including supervision of trainees.
