Job summary

Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, is seeking a Gastroenterology and Hepatology physician to provide comprehensive GI/HEP services for both outpatients and inpatients. The role includes performing EGD and colonoscopy, and offering specialty consultations across care settings.

The position supports teaching, quality assurance, and participation in the Multidisciplinary Liver Tumor Board, with opportunities for Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) and a robust total

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and full/unrestricted MD license in the United States
• Residency training approved by ACGME/AOA or equivalent leading to board eligibility
• Board certification preferred for faculty and continuous service
• PRPs may be appointed with supervised scope if applicable

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive GI and hepatology care for outpatients and inpatients
• Perform standard GI procedures (EGD and colonoscopy)
• Teach and supervise physician trainees at multiple levels
• Participate in quality assurance programs and hospital committees
• Contribute to liver tumor board and hepatology-related care
