Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID is seeking a day shift, full-time Gastroenterology Clinic Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our team.

You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses, document interactions, assist with procedures and scheduling, and help maintain efficient clinic operations. Idaho CNA and BLS are required with onboarding within two weeks.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Certified Nurse Assistant certification in the State of Idaho.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of the Licensed Nurse and/or providers and assist in the delivery of world-class medical care.
• Provide direct care to patients in accordance with existing protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Contribute to the assessment of patient's health status by collecting, recording, and reporting objective and subjective data; document all patient interactions timely and accurately.
• Assist with scheduling surgeries, imaging, lab, etc., and complete pre-authorization for procedures or testing to support reimbursement.
• Answer phones and respond to messages; communicate with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians in a positive and supportive manner.
• Demonstrate efficiency and dependability with assigned duties and cross-train to assist other staff.
