Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Pocatello, ID is seeking a day shift, full-time Gastroenterology Clinic Certified Nurse Assistant.

You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses, document interactions, and help coordinate tests and procedures.

The role requires Idaho CNA certification and a high school diploma, with BLS within 14 days.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nurse Assistant certification in the State of Idaho.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of the Licensed Nurse and/or providers and assist the providers in the delivery of world-class medical care.
• Provides direct care to patients in accordance with existing protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Contributes to the assessment of patient’s health status by collecting, recording, and reporting objective and subjective data. Timely, consistently, and accurately documents all patient interactions.
• Works effectively with providers and patients to schedule surgeries, imaging, lab, etc. Completes pre-authorization for all procedures or testing to ensure effective reimbursement.
• Answers phones and responds to messages in a timely manner. Communicates and interacts with all customers (patients, visitors, co-workers, administrative staff, and physicians) in a positive and supportive manner.
• Demonstrates efficiency and dependability with assigned job responsibilities and cross-trains, as appropriate, to assist other staff members in their job duties.

Job Requirements:
