UofL Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the First Shift in Louisville, KY. You will support the medical team with triage, vital signs, patient history and EHR documentation, scheduling, and patient flow.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians during exams and minor procedures, reconciling medications in the EHR, handling patient check-in/out, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. A Medical Assisting credential is required or preferred, with HS diploma or GED.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent required.
• Medical Assisting certification (CMA/CCMA/RMA) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of medical assisting experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Obtains medical history, triage patients, record vitals.
• Reconciles medication list in EHR.
• Assists physician in exam room and during minor procedures.
• Schedules and registers patients; collects paperwork and copayments.
• Maintains clean exam rooms and ensures HIPAA compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
