Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group is seeking a Clinic Supervisor for the Gastroenterology Clinic in Bettendorf, IA. The role oversees staff, budgets, and clinic operations, ensuring efficient patient flow and quality care within a day-shift, 40-hour workweek.

Responsibilities include hiring, coaching, training, scheduling, and adherence to CPT/billing standards. A relevant license or degree is required, along with 2 years in a clinical setting and BLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English; communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
• One of the following licenses/degrees: RN, LPN, CMA, Radiology Tech, Lab Tech, Surgical Tech, or Mental Health Therapist; or an associate/bachelor's degree in business, nursing, health administration; or currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program.
• Knowledge of CPT codes, billing and collection practices, fee structures, and practice standards.
• Two years’ experience in a clinic/physician office.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three months of hire.
• Experience with budgeting and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance appraisal of clinic staff.
• Schedule and orient staff; report hours for payroll.
• Coordinate clinic operations to ensure efficient patient flow (reception, lab, nursing, etc.).
• Ensure charging/reimbursement changes are integrated into clinic operations and monitor outcomes.
• Promote patient-centered care and a positive patient experience.
• Assist in budget development and monitor staff and supply utilization.
