Job summary

The West Virginia University Health System (WVUHS) invites a Gastroenterologist to join SMG System Medical Group in Weirton, WV. The successful candidate will practice in a primary location at Colliers Way Professional Plaza and may be assigned to additional WV/PA sites per operational needs.

The GI/Hepatology service line offers a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including an expanding endoscopy center.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required; board eligibility or certification in gastroenterology and hepatology.
• Completion of an accredited internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship.
• State medical license mandatory by time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide GI care including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Work at Colliers Way Professional Plaza, Weirton, WV and other WV/PA sites as needed.
• Participate in a growing endoscopy center and ERCP procedures.
