Job summary

The WVU Health System is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join our GI and Hepatology service in Colliers Way Professional Plaza, Weirton, WV. The successful candidate will provide expert care across diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures and ERCPs in a state‑of‑the‑art setting.

Applicants must have an MD or DO, be eligible for a WV medical license, and complete an accredited internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship. Board eligibility or certification is required.

System Medical Group seeks a Gastroenterologist. The successful candidate/candidates will be expected to practice in the primary location of Colliers Way Professional Plaza- 701 Colliers WayWeirton, WV.

Qualifications: Candidates must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited internal medicine residency program and gastroenterology fellowship and be board eligible/board certified in gastroenterology and hepatology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Our GI and Hepatology service line of professionals offer a complete range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, treats an medically diverse population, and has exposure to clinically challenging cases. We have a new and expanding endoscopy center including state-of-the-art suites for advanced procedures and ERCPs, as well as close access to adjacent specialty clinics.

The WVU Health System Medical Group formed in 2021 and has since grown to 900 physicians and advanced practice providers. Caregivers affiliated with the group practice in all 25 WVU Medicine hospitals and clinics. The group’s physicians serve in a variety of specialties and subspecialties – from primary care to advanced specialty care – and work in tandem with the WVU faculty practice plan.
