Job summary

Albany Medical College is seeking general Gastroenterologists to join the Division of Gastroenterology in Albany, NY. You will join a growing team that handles a wide range of complex gastroenterology patients from across northeastern New York.

You will work in an endoscopy suite with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, collaborate with surgeons and GI colleagues, perform endoscopic procedures, teach medical students and trainees, and contribute to research and scholarly

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Internal Medicine and board eligibility or board certification in Gastroenterology.
• Experience in diagnosing and managing a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions.
• Active and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in New York State.

Responsibilities

• Work in an endoscopy suite equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, along with anesthesia support.
• Collaborate with colorectal, oncologic and trauma surgeons, interventional radiologists, pediatric gastroenterologists, GI pathologists and an on-site infusion clinic.
• Perform various endoscopic procedures.
• Teach medical students, residents and fellows.
• Conduct research and perform scholarly work.
