Job summary

Albany Medical College is seeking general Gastroenterologists to join the Division of Gastroenterology in the Capital Region. You will work with a growing team that handles a wide range of complex GI patients from across northeastern New York.

You will perform endoscopic procedures, collaborate with surgeons and other specialists, teach medical students and trainees, and contribute to research and scholarly activities in a supportive academic environment.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Internal Medicine and board eligibility or board certification in Gastroenterology.
• Experience diagnosing and managing a broad range of GI conditions.
• Active and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in New York State.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Work in an endoscopy suite equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, along with anesthesia support.
• Collaborate with colorectal, oncologic and trauma surgeons, interventional radiologists, pediatric gastroenterologists, GI pathologists and an on-site infusion clinic.
• Perform various endoscopic procedures.
• Teach medical students, residents and fellows.
• Conduct research and perform scholarly work.
